July 01 Germany's Mission 2006Well so far it has been a good run.. some might say yesterday's quarterfinal against Argentina was won luckily but the that's a big test for the big teams to.. its not easy to hold nerves in the extra time and then when the game proceeds to the penalty shoot-out. Team Germany held on their nerves, no one including Ballack who could barely walk, missed their kicks ... and Lehmann for the first time proved his selection as the No. 1 goalkeeper ahead of the great Olivier Kahn. So, it was a great game where the Germans emerged as the deserving winners ... cause penalty shoot-out is a part of the match and any match can be decided in that phase... so keeping up the performance there is a part of the strategy too.
