Schumacher and Ferrari back on track! w00t w00t

Michael Schumacher won the German Grand Prix on Sunday to put himself and the Ferrari team in a strong position to challenge the both the driver's and the constructor's title of Formula 1! About time too! Schumacher (89 pts) trail Allonso (100 pts) by 11 points while in the Constructor's category, Ferrari (139 pts) trail Renault (149 pts) by only 10 pts. With 6 more races to go in the 2006 season, its likely that Schumacher and Ferrari are pretty determined to repeat their Hockenheim performance and if that happens then Alonso in his Renault will soon be in Schumacher's Ferrari's rear view mirror! Go Ferrari!

The run ends!!

Germany's run in the FIFA World Cup 2006 ended on Tuesday, July 4 after Italy beat them 2-0 in the 1st semifinals. It was truly bitter and sad as both the goals were scored during the last minute of the match - the 1st one scored by Fabio Grosse on the 119th minute while the second goal was scored by Del Piero on the 121st minute.

But I must admit Italy won as the better of the two teams. They played with speed and had sharpness in the attack that finally led them to draw blood! Germany played well but to me it looked like they were not playing according to the gameplan... and during the extra time it looked like the Germans were trying to take the match to the penalty shoot-outs!

Nevertheless, it was a spirited effort by the German team in the World Cup 2006. The whole team should be proud for playing some brilliant football and giving their fans the excitement, joy and pride ... and we their fans should salute them! They are still our heroes!

Germany's Mission 2006

Well so far it has been a good run.. some might say yesterday's quarterfinal against Argentina was won luckily but the that's a big test for the big teams to.. its not easy to hold nerves in the extra time and then when the game proceeds to the penalty shoot-out. Team Germany held on their nerves, no one including Ballack who could barely walk, missed their kicks ... and Lehmann for the first time proved his selection as the No. 1 goalkeeper ahead of the great Olivier Kahn. So, it was a great game where the Germans emerged as the deserving winners ... cause penalty shoot-out is a part of the match and any match can be decided in that phase... so keeping up the performance there is a part of the strategy too.

Check my photo album where I have uploaded some pictures of the German goals and saves so far ... I'll be posting them for upcoming matches too and hopefully the last picture would be of the team with the Cup in their possession!

Talking about 7 Deadly Sins

So I have been tagged by Misty “the shaker” to talk about the 7 deadly sins! So here goes…..

Pride~What talents are you most proud of?

Well I’m an Angel in disguise so I’m definitely proud of my angelic talents.. however as a human, the talents that I am proud of are – mathematical skills, driving skills and sniffing good food  ….. a few other talents

Envy~What brings out the green eyed Monster in you?

Well being an Angel I’m free from jealousy except for when a hotter faster car zooms past or when someone says their selection of food tastes better!

Greed~ What was the last luxury item you brought?

2 suits … a Giorgio Armani and a Versace … well its specified in our angel dress code!

Sloth ~ When are you at your laziest?

Well it would have been easier for me to answer the opposite question lol… but I’m at my laziest on Fridays and Sundays and on rainy days when I indulge in my most passionate action … sleep!

Gluttony~ what is your favourite Fast food?

Well I prefer choosing food from the a-la-carte menu of specialized restaurants, but when I’m hungry like a monster then a double cheese burger or spicy hot fried chicken is what I usually go for!

Anger- when was the last time you lost your temper?

I rarely lose my temper … last time I lost it was 3 months ago

Lust- Who do you lust after?

Well being single and angelic the lust factor seems to be a variable ….

Pride~What talents are you most proud of?

I .. hmm lets see, I make people laugh with my weird humor.

I’m a great cook but hate doing it.

Well I do have another talent but I can't tell ya about it here.. but it drives some men crazy

Envy~What brings out the green eyed Monster in you?

Hmmm Jealously has been an issue in some of my relationships but more a feeling of not being good enough.. Rather than jealous of someone else.

I’m envious of people who make things look so easy while I struggle to do the same thing.

Greed~ What was the last luxury item you brought?

YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

This is pretty neat

DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it
out!  This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that
you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add
1756 ....  If you haven't, add 1755..

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number

The first digit of this was your original number (i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week).

The next two numbers are

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2006) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO
SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.
